Hi Guys,

My rearbrake is not well...
When I press it, it will not entirely come back up until i lift it up with my feet again.
I didn't even notice until a fellow of mine told me my brakelight was on all the time...

Does this mean I have to change the brakepads, or do I have to do something else to solve this problem?

there's a return spring on the footpeg, a lot of times it slips off when the footpeg is removed and there's no obvious place for it to be.

Theres a spring on the actuator arm on the rear hub, right? Have a look at that. Check the brake pedal pivot point, clean, not binding, pedal not bent. Shoe wear isnt the cause of the problem, but no tellin how hot theyve been or how long this has been going on, so, you mite wanna look at them,
Make sure theres nothing biding the cable, etc,, AND make sure the brake lite actuator isnt just bein a jerk,,

Return spring on the brake pedal or spring on rear drum, or have a look at the brake switch cable but my money is on the return spring which disengaged itself ( after I had a good mess around with brake pedal ) on my bike, its supposed to fit under the nut that holds the footrest on and on the shaft of the brake pedal - bloody hell, beaten to it again, sorry for repeating all of the above

There are several things it could be.....as the previous folks have posted.

Pivot point at the pedal may need to be cleaned and lubed.
The return spring at the pedal may have been improperly but back together if someone took off the pedal at any time.
The cable could be sticky and need cleaned or lubed.
The shaft at the rear brake drum may have to be cleaned and lubed.
The spring at the rear brake make be broken.

The first thing to do is back the adjusting nut off at the rear brake drum. Then see if the lever on the drum moves smoothly. Then work your way forward until you find the part that does not work smoothly.

I'm gonna check my bike on the tips you guys gave me, thanks again!
