Title: Re: New electric trike from Toyota Post by old_rider on 12/05/13 at 20:51:55 I would like to get in on a "beta" test of some of these vehicles. Maybe be the one to drive them around and show off the engineering and looks. Well of course I would have to have a couple of young hot babes in bikini's or skimpy outfits to prove an old dog can still get'm with the purchase of this new outrageous gas saver! |
Title: Re: New electric trike from Toyota Post by justin_o_guy2 on 12/06/13 at 13:14:58 Looks like a yuppy's wet dream,, If I cant ride a 2 wheeled motorcycle my next dream is a 2 seater, standard trans, drop top. Underpowered is FINE with me, because power covers the sins of poor driving. Working a gutless little car thru corners & not scrubbing off too much speed is Driving. But, finding that car pretty much means looking at OLD sports cars & that means Big $$$,, so, I spose Ill hafta hunt down an uglied up old Miata.. a pretty one would cost too much, If I cant have a bike, & I cant have a little car, then my next choice is a pickup. & I happen to own a low powered one,, an 87 F150 with a 300/straight 6 & a 4 speed. Driving anything with an automatic takes "Operator" out of the picture. |
Title: Re: New electric trike from Toyota Post by old_rider on 12/13/13 at 11:49:15 Here is something I could actually build up in my garage...and it goes 52mph for the city, seen this on youtube and here is his page on it... http://www.evalbum.com/2003 evalbum sounds familiar, I think he is on one of the Harley forums i'm in, but not sure. My friend john has given up on the virago I give him, so I might go get it back and see about looking up some local used marine batteries and an electric motor and try to convert the virago to electric. |
