Whats the story on the castle lookin place?

Watchin the ships roll out at that speed was kinda fun, the planes looked like rockets screechin across the sky, Cool stuff.

When I was a kid Johnny Carson had a new studio built for him. ( IIRC, the audience area was already there, they just built the stage/ desk area, etc)They did a time lapse of it. A guy sat in the same seat, every day, at lunch & read a paper & ate his sammich.. I get a kick outta time lapse,,theres a lot of real cool stuff out there, showing mushrooms & coral, all kinza stuff.

Thanks for the post

You're welcome ... glad y'all enjoyed it! The "castle lookin' place" is Cabot Tower situated on top of Signal Hill, which over looks St. John's Harbour ... was constructed in 1898/1900 to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the "discovery" of Newfoundland by Italian explorer Giovani Caboto (John Cabot), who sailed under the English flag. A year after the completion of Cabot Tower, another Italian, Guglielmo Marconi, received the first ever trans-Atlantic wireless message at the tower. Signal Hill is a designated National Historic Site and is a popular place to go for a Ride on a soft summer evening!

Somewhere in England I believe  ... less than a decade after this, most ocean-going ships were being equipped with wireless ...

Another neat time-lapse of St. John's by same photographer
