Title: What would the difference be?
Post by raydawg on 11/28/13 at 13:25:18

Not that I want to get rid of the thumper, but if bot has two in the stable, why can't I?  >:(

Would she have less torque but a smother top range, more comfortable on the highways?

Maybe more comfortable... less fuel economy and a lot harder/more expensive to work on.

Probably smoother all around and a bit more on the top end.

Bot's a frikkin' idiot... :-?...

That said,..
I have ridden a Marauder (a red one, with drag bars)... and they are smooth and plenty torquey ...
I really enjoyed the ride... I don't know anything about the mechanical's or servicing...
... but they do make a nice ride... (solid, planted, powerful, and smooth,... very unintimidating to maneuver)...

I remember riding from Tucson to Bisbee Az...  and easily sneaking up to 85mph and feeling like... MORE!... (I did hit 105mph that day)...
(that's rare for me)...

BTW... Bisbee is the town of 10,000 steps... (don't even think about it)...just have a coffee, buy a keychain, and go home...
:-?...

...(I don't adjust easily to different bikes... but, the Marauder felt comfortable very quickly)...

My buddy's Intruder is shaft drive....he swears by it. Looks like the marauder is a big savage.... but i'd go look at it and ride it before I bought it, i'm not a believer in buying long distance.

Been to Bisbee, did the mines, very cool place. It was a hopping town way back when. My wife grandmother, or somebody, I forget, was born there. Bisbee turquoise in unique and pretty.... I have nipple studs made from it  :-*

That said, I just bought this project

I have nipple studs made from it.

Ooookay, Ray,, I cant speak for others, but right now, I am having a problem here.. I cant decide if thats simply TMI & not something I wanna know about,
OR
If my curiosity demands a pic of said studs, NOT on the dresser, but IN-Stalled..
What happens if something like that gets smacked? Daaaang!
Might nip a ripple OFF,,

My adopted dad had a different name for used boats. He called them "a hole in the wallet", or " a hole in the water" cause you had to keep putting money in them.

They say the best two days of owning a boat, is the day you bought it and the day you sell it.

Hey, Ray, do not hasten to spend a lot of money to that project. the version here is, I think, better. always get there/ swim and catching the good fish, you put her in the back. how about this idea? ;D

Have always liked the looks of the 800 Marauder ... way better looking than the 1st Gen Boulevard M50 IMHO ... a belt-drive instead of a chain would've made the Marauder an even better Bike ... It's not overly heavy for a Cruiser either ... wouldn't mind one myself!

Have your fun little bar hopper for short rides AND your touring bike that you can take the significant other on distance rides with...  ;D
