Title: Hand-arm vibration syndrome (HAVS) Post by Ragnar444 on 11/27/13 at 16:17:19 My last bike was a 3-cylinder Yamaha and the vibration from the seat, hand-grips, and foot pegs was exhausting. After a few hours in the saddle it became intolerable. Anyone had luck wearing glove like these? Anti-vibration gloves from superiorglove.com |

Title: Re: Hand-arm vibration syndrome (HAVS) Post by ToesNose on 11/28/13 at 04:39:36 Ragnar is it mainly the right hand/arm that bothers you? As JOG pointed out a lighter grip helps quite a bit, but also many riders find more fatigue and strain on the right because it's easier to relax the left due to the lack of the throttle there. I've known a number of guys who use throttle paddles/rests to be able to open your right hand up on longer rides and alleviate strain on the right hand/wrist. I've only experienced the throttle hand strain once on a long bike run, and it would have made the highway/interstate sections more enjoyable having the option to relax my fingers on the right hand for sure. ;) |
