Title: rejet
Post by sleezyrider on 11/22/13 at 13:56:01

So it took me too long to figure out that my 86 savage backfires because she was jetted to run a little too lean to meet emission standards, and one know what size I should go to? Stock exhaust and everything still

86's are jetted rich from the factory.
Lean jetting doesn't happen till '95

check you don't have holes in your pipes, nuts are tight, carb is clean and your filter is good.

I've tried everything else, maybe somebody swapped my carb with a '95 or later carb, could you humor me and tell me what size jets I should have?
