I'm going to need a oil cooler to help cool engine down after I supercharge it.

The outlet port doesn't look threaded..how do you seal a hose connection there?

Does anyone have pictures of their oil cooler?

both are threaded
m12 and m14

If you just plumb your cooler into those two holes......you do realize that the oil flow will still flow through the hole in the block that is drilled between the two passages? You will get some flow through the cooler - but oil will still flow through the original path. As the engine gets warm the thin oil will flow through the orignal hole easier than it can flow through the cooler......so more will flow through the original passage than will flow through the cooler. You will get some benefit from it.....but not as much as if all the oil passed through the cooler.

If you want all the oil to pass through the cooler....you need to find a way to block that inner oil passage.

The front facing plug is on the case
the down facing plug is on the clutch cover
the port can be gotten to by removing the cover
a plug will need to be made to fit it.
Rather than plug it, I think a restriction would be better.
I think it would be a good idea to put a pressure sensor in the front banjo.
even if it was only an idiot light. running out of oil is not a good thing.

The m14 was tough to locate, its a stock part on a triumph m/c.
CAM FEED OIL PIPE BANJO BOLTS ... Triumph Daytona 900, Super III Motorcycle ( 171001874539 )

the m12 was a little easier, its for a Subaru supercharger TD04
you can find them on bay of fleas.

remember the sizes and double check the descriptions

m12x1.25 and m14x1.25

regarding all this, would it be OK to fit a pressure gauge to the bottom (clutch casing) union? as it is threaded, it will be an easy job. I agree for an oil cooler, best to tap and plug the inside oilway, so it can be removed as well, also a small hole in the plug will act as a bypass.

The cover port faces down is over the frame. I doubt you'll have enough room to add a gage unless the banjo has two nipples.

Aha! but mine is not in a Savage frame, but a hardtail frame, and I think I have plenty of room. So I should get a pressure reading from there? what about the upper plug on the engine? is that OK for a pressure takeoff?
