I came across this link and although it's for bicycles and still in R&D it was quite interesting and possibly points towards future motorcycle gear.

Inflatable bike jackets have been around for a while so I think you've got it backwards. These helmets are a development of current bike wear.

What happens when youre pedaling thru a hard corner & spike a pedal in the asphalt & get air? Or jamming thru a corner too sharp to even Think about pedaling & the tread is shredding on the front tire? I bought a tire & used it UP in 3 weeks once..All the times I crashed that bike, I never once touched my head. & Buddy, I CRashed it hard several times,,

Someone posted this a while back and I thought it was a great idea for a helmet! I wonder if any of you have seen one on the road yet? I was really impressed with it's simplicity.
