Title: Re: Use a cell phone? Post by justin_o_guy2 on 10/20/13 at 09:12:21 My doctor told me years ago that they knew a former VP of a phone company. He told them that the company was stashing back millions to address the coming lawsuits. They KNOW they cause brain tumors. Always put it on speaker & hold it away from you. Radiation power drops off at distance squared, so, 3 or 4 inches makes a huge difference, The frequency range is in the same band as radar, in that it wont travel on a coaxial wire. Cell towers use wave guides to harness the wave. Its a metal box, with one side being exactly 1/2 wavelength & the other side being 1/4 wavelength. If you look at a sine wave, 1/2 is 180* & each end of the line is on zero. 1/4 wavelength is 90* & it starts at zero & climbs to Max Voltage. An open switch = max voltage read across that switch, a closed switch = zero volts measured across that switch, Sooo,, the wave lays down & runs on the 1/2 wavelength side. YOU can take an Exact 1/4 wavelength segment & try to ground the 1/2 wave side & it wont do hoot,Its gonna stay In the box & run. It wont go to ground over the 1/4 wavelength rod, because it "sees" an Open,Make it 1/2 wavelength & its goona run to ground right there. |
Title: Re: Use a cell phone? Post by Serowbot on 10/20/13 at 10:05:30 Always dip your cellphone in at least 30spf sunblock before using... That'll fix it... :-/... (is this the sarcasm smiley?)... |
Title: Re: Use a cell phone? Post by Midnightrider on 10/20/13 at 12:05:08 My wife got me one of the cheap ones but I wont use it or carry it. Dont even know where its at and I dont care. If we travel together she has hers and most of the time its up to her ear. Drives me crazy. There's times I like to be alone with my thoughts and I dont want a telephone interrupting me. To me the only thing they are good for is an emergency. |
Title: Re: Use a cell phone? Post by arteacher on 10/20/13 at 13:18:15 Years ago when I had a part time job that took me all over Southern Ont. a couple of days a week. I bought an expensive bag phone so I could keep in touch with my Toronto based boss while on the road. The salesman advised that I keep at least three feet away from the antenna, as the phone had twice the output in watts as a normal cell phone. |
Title: Re: Use a cell phone? Post by Starlifter on 10/20/13 at 20:42:18 I hate cell phones, I carry a trac phone for emergencies only. Never used it yet. The worst thing is those morons who text while driving. >:( |
