Title: Broke my Jardine
Post by Boogieman on 10/15/13 at 14:05:25

So i'm hauling a*s on the freeway when I noticed a change in sound. Pulled into the nearest gas station and this is what I saw. darn thing upchucked it's muffle.
So what it looks like happened is that center tube cracked and separated from the rear plate,, then overtime rattled and busted the rivets that hold that back plate on and it just slid right out. Sounds really weird and really loud.
Just thought y'all would get a kick out of that. Easy enough for me to do a bit of welding and re-rivit. It's just one more thing on the top of the pile.
~sigh~ I need a sugar momma to slap down like 2 or 3 grand to rebuild the whole bike. Make it nice and strong and get all them upgrades.

Yes this is true I am thankful it didn't come all the way out and hurt anyone. Always thankful for that.
Manufacturers should send me their prototypes so I can break them. For some reason I wear the hell out of everything.. shoes, clothes, cars, tools, bikes, phones, knives, etc. Get me a website and call it boogie-break-it.com. "You build it, i'll f**king break it!" That'll be my new slogan.

You know what?... this is a perfect opportunity to rig this thing up so I can run a straight pipe or a muffled pipe,, like with the removal of one or two pins.
Am i going to do my engine harm running a straight pipe?

Huh... i noticed no difference in performance. I probably should get a different muffler.

On the plus side, adjusting those valves isn't that important right now so you can put that way off.  ;D

Got it at the end of March and am now over 8,270 miles, I'm racking those miles up quick. Have you tried the guy in Whittier for another muffler? I might be able to swing by tomorrow or Friday to pick one up if he has it...
