Title: savage down
Post by sleezyrider on 10/15/13 at 13:45:24

I was teaching a buddy to ride on my savage, and he ended up putting it into a short wall, which bent the foot peg and shifter, and they became loose. Bike still made it home but I can't seem to get a wrench on the nut to tighten the peg and shifter, is therean easy way to do this?

Don't know which nut...  But, nuts don't tend to unscrew themselves in drop... Something got tweaked, stretched, or bent...
Try pulling the footpeg... see if that gets you better access?...

If I were to buy another foot peg how would I even go about replacing it?

Footpeg is held on with one allen head bolt. Shifter lever is held in place with a snap ring, it either works or it don't, nothing to tighten up. Remind me tomorrow and I'll get some pics for you, all that mess is off my bike right now.
