. When Buzz Aldrin joined Armstrong on the surface, he had to make sure not to lock the Eagle's door because there was no outer handle.

Calling Pop-A-Lock wasnt an option.,.

Yeah....but I keep forget'n to latch my seat belt tho...... :o

Why did it have a lock? Was NASA afraid someone on the moon was going to steal the LEM while they were out? :D
It would be hard to get you spaceship keys out of your pocket with those gloves on, too.

Interesting point,, seems the designers didnt think about making it so theyd hafta lock it from the inside,, It shoulda not closed if slammed from the outside,, only someone inside turning the handle, latching it,,

DAANG,, what if a stiff breeze had slammed it shut!?!?
