Title: Re: sporty? scoooter? chopper? Post by HondaLavis on 09/13/13 at 16:24:56 Definitely not a photoshop. It's the Alligator A-6 built by Dan Gurney. Here's an article about it from 2009: http://www.motorcyclecruiser.com/roadtests/dan_gurney_alligator_motorcycle/ Powered by a high compression Honda thumper. Since then, it's increased to a 710cc engine. Seems like it should be kinda sporty. |

If it had a class,.. it would be a recumbent.. ... but, I think it would be a very lonely class... Looks to me, much like a recumbent bicycle... one of those things that looks like a good idea, until you try to ride it... :-?... |

Title: Re: sporty? scoooter? chopper? Post by HondaLavis on 09/15/13 at 08:28:43 The seating position does seem somewhat awkward: http://image.motorcyclecruiser.com/f/9158210/lg+gurney_alligator+ride_left_view.jpg |
Title: Re: sporty? scoooter? chopper? Post by Dave on 09/16/13 at 09:10:35 The seating position doesn't look as bad as I thought it would be. I suppose the idea is to get your body out of the wind to improve the aerodyhamics. It would make a lot of sense to do this with the 50cc scooters.....they need all the help they can get with such low power available. |
