I obtained a set of Harley apes for free from a friend of mine and they look like they have a 10" rise. For some reason the Suzuki oem risers don't fully cover the knurled part of the bars fully. It looks like the distance eye to eye of the existing risers measured on the top of the tree is 4".
Is this a standard distance for most bikes or is this just a Suzuki thing? Want to get a hold of a one piece riser to cover the knurled part of the bar and have been looking but I haven't found any risers that give measurements.
Hope I don't have to look for another set of apes.
Your thoughts?

Suzuki uses an odd riser spacing. Run what you have, they will be fine. We have 10" HD spec apes on her 800 Intruder, and 15" rise on my 98 Savage. Mine are pinned, hers are not.

One piece riser bridge for a Savage? Ain't happening.

I scored some cheap HD takeoffs that I put on my bike from a FXDWG...

Also, if your bike has the pullback risers and drag bars as stock, you can disassemble the risers and use the stock risers like I have here...

Mine look just like those in the pic. Never had a bit of trouble with them moving or anything either.

10 inch rise isn't enough to let them move unless you are on the the throttle hard enough to lift the front wheel, or on the front brake hard enough to lift the rear wheel. 12 inch or higher, hit a rough enough patch of pavement and the bar is going to move. 15 inch rise you can pretty much move them at will.

Over wrap them with some paper thin brass, bronze or aluminum sheet. Beer can works fine. You want a piece that goes from outer edge to outer edge of the riser caps. It will hide the excess knurling and allow a bit of extra clamping force by the riser caps.
