Just finished watching about 3500 bikes roll past my frontdoor on 9-11 ride held for the last 12 years here in our little corner of the world. A little food at the Clinton Cnty. Fire Hall first then they do about a 30 miles loop and then it's time to Party a little. 5-6000 bikes were expected this year but thunderstorms and rain cut that number down somewhat. I suspect a few may have defected to D.C.. More power to'em Still, an impressive sight. Most of the neighbors were out on front porches waving in support of the riders.

Notables I saw were 1 S-40 in the bunch, one Guzzi, and 1 Bonneville. 2 old Honda 450 twins, 1 BMW, 1 Vincent, and a small block powered Harley.

The usual slew of v-twins of all sorts. There were a few crotch rockets and motards. A few dozen trikes including a v-8 powered '34 coupe bodied Trike that was very nicely done. And I did see 3 people on scooters.

Another surprising thing was the number of Lady riders in the group. Maybe 6-8%. Was a little hard to keep track with so many riders rolling by at 35mph.

I had to work too late to make the ride, and so had to settle with watching. Lots of cool bikes. Maybe next year!
