I just watched a program on this recently...
.. and "cancer" is quite a vague term... it covers many very different afflictions, with the commonality of distorting cell structure...

At any one point in time,.. the average person has several types of cancer in their body,... it just gets suppressed by the immune system...

So,.. I don't think anyone actually"gets cancer",... so much, as has their immune system loses control of it...

Perhaps not that relevant,.. but interesting... Eh???  :-?...

Connect the darned dots, man!
That's why Obamacare has such an interest in home schooled children.

Serowbot is right.  Here in Columbus, at Ohio State Univ., we have the James Cancer Hospital and the Solove Cancer Research institute.  I have a couple of good friends who are oncologists there.
First, "cancer" is a very vague term to cover melanomas, sarcomas, carcinomas, lymphomas, and maybe a couple of others.
Then, within these broad groups, there are about 150 known diseases that all fall under the vague term "cancer".
This is why finding distinct causes, and more importantly, cures, is so difficult.  You aren't hunting down the cause and cure of one disease, but rather, at least 150 different diseases.
Yet, quacks will continue to prey on the vulnerable, the ignorant, and the hopeless, telling them there are simple answers to these very complex questions.
About 6 months or so ago, there was an entire issue of Time magazine devoted to updates on cancer research.  Many top oncologists were interviewed, at the top cancer centers like M.D. Anderson at the Univ. or Texas, Sloan Kettering in New York, and at our James Hospital here.
Interestingly, almost all agreed that progress is being made at an ever increasing pace, and that within 10 years, there will be many more forms of cancer that will be basically curable.
We've already got cures for many of the simpler types, like juvenile leukemia, which is now over 85% curable, and of course, Hodgkin's, which is highly curable too.
Keep your fingers crossed - all it takes is money, and that's the primary reason that progress is now coming on faster - lots and lots of research money is being throw at these killer diseases.

Cancer is awful...
Death is awful...

...but,... dinosaurs died of cancer...
Our pets die of cancer...
Creatures that have never seen a human, die of cancer...

You can't blame fluoride,...  or flu shots... or cell phones,... or anything...
...or maybe... everything...

I personally think radiation, and chemo,... (just the concept) seems insane...
...(a slow, painful, suicide, that doctors will pull you out of, if the cancer dies first)... reminds me of leaching in earlier days...
.... but, I do believe it's the best we have...

It seems like the next big step,.. is always just a moment away,... but it doesn't ever come...

One day, it will...

JOG -
The Amish here in Ohio may have lower cancer rates.
As for skin cancer, even though they work outdoors, they are fully clothed.  The men wear long sleeve shirts and full length trousers in even the hottest weather.  While they may roll up their sleeves some, you never see them outdoors in T shirts, or even short sleeve shirts.  Never see them in shorts.  The men also wear broad brimmed hats outdoors to shield ears, neck, and other parts of their upper bodies from the sun.
Of course, the women are always attired in full, ankle length dresses with long sleeves.  Hence, they don't get the UV exposure from sunlight that the "English" people have.
Next, of course they don't smoke.  So, lung and bladder cancer rates are almost non-existent.
Next, they don't drink alcohol.  So, esophageal, stomach and liver cancer rates are also near zero.
Next, due to their physical farm work, they are generally in excellent cardio vascular health, even though the consume a higher fat diet.

They are also aware of the genetic dangers from such a small, in bred population.  Most of the communities of Amish encourage, and sometimes require, young men to marry women from other communities, some distance from their homes.  Hence, they do their best to have as wide spread gene pool as possible.

So, you can't just pick out the lack of vaccines as causative of lower cancer rates among the Amish.  Like everything else, it's a complex equation.

JOG -
I forgot to mention a couple of other things about Amish and cancer rates.
The lack of smoking and alcohol also drastically lowers oral cancer rates too.
And, they have large families.  There is significant evidence that women who have multiple children tend to have far less cancer of the reproductive system and breasts.  So, breast cancer, uterine and ovarian cancer are all suppressed in the Amish female population.  Even though many of the older Amish women are what we might call over weight, that is counter balanced by their having had multiple children in their 20s and 30s.
Evidence shows us that over weight women who have small families, or no children, like many modern women of the non-Amish type population are far more susceptible to breast, ovarian, and uterine cancers.  This alone may at least partially explain the rise in these cancer rates among modern women, who today are having fewer children, and are gaining more weight.
There is significant evidence that men with active sex lives have less prostate cancer.  Since the husbands are an integral part of having large families, Amish men tend to have less prostate cancer.
Again, cancer rates among any given segment of the general population is not a simple question with a simple answer.
