Will the 5" low brow fender work with the stock wheel and tire, or do I need the 6"

At least 6", since the tire size in real format is 5.50/5.60-15.

I too am thinking about a lowbrow fender. just changed from the Shinko 712's 140/90/15 to a Shinko 230 130/90/15. What size would you recommend?

In real speak, that is a 5.00-15, so...

I run a Shovelhead FLH rear fender on my 98 Savage. Has a 140 right now, with a "safe" working range of 130-150mm width tires. If a fender won't fit a Harley Davidson Big Twin, it's too little. Stock real Harleys (that means pre 1970 BT, pre 1986 XL series) had 5.00-16 rear tires or 4.60/5.00-18 rear tires.
