I think almost everyone would fall into at least one of those categories.  Some of them are pretty broad.

I agree with idea the article is attempting to put forward. However, I am very hopeful that, as written, its mostly just fear mongering.

If those are real.. then I am on lists many times over.

I'm on a couple real ones. So is my friend that helps us on the farm. You get used to the phone tapping, the less than covert surveillance, the "spot check" random traffic stops...

Land of the free my butt.  >:(

&Thats Exactly the goal, get us "Usedto" having our rights violated, slowly.
So when it becomes an every day affair people wont rebel.

Why do they slowly sweep new things across the nation? That way they wont createan uprising,,

And put on armor before telling them that they are in violation of the 4th Amendment to the Constitution...

We've gone round and round with state and federal snoopers. Over the most trivial of supposedly "viable reasons" for them to violate the Big C at will.

I can't wait for the next round, I have an SS officer's uniform in reserve for jury duty... that usually warrants some "extra" attention...  ;D

I rather enjoy messing with the government stooges.

I just saw this list at a different location and was going to post it.  I fall into multiple items on this list.

My phone used to be tapped until I terminated it and just went with one that I knew was constantly monitored (cell phone).  The clicks and sometimes noises were just too distracting.

I've been spot check stopped a couple times.  They must not consider me too big a threat.  They haven't shown up at my house yet and I haven't experienced most of the other harassment that many others get.

Lists like this are supposed to encompass just about everyone. It makes it much easier for the 'powers that be' to say they are monitoring suspected terrorists.

All american citizens were declared enemy combatants decades ago by one of the presidents. Wish my memory was still as good as it was. I would remember which one and what law it was that did it. That's why we are treated like enemies of the state.  We technically are.

(8) The term 'enemy combatant' has historically referred to all of the citizens of a state with which the Nation is at war, and who are members of the armed force of that enemy state. Enemy combatants in the present conflict, however, come from many nations, wear no uniforms, and use unconventional weapons. Enemy combatants in the war on terrorism are not defined by simple, readily apparent criteria, such as citizenship or military uniform. And the power to name a citizen as an 'enemy combatant' is therefore extraordinarily broad. (Emphasis added)

I think the Salvation Army is screwed. March of Dimes is a grey area which means it is screwed too!!

Good thing Romney didn't win or things might be worse, would've have forced us to make our own decisions and live out in the cold without the warmth that only an oppresive government can provide. ;D ;D ;D

I'm pro-rectangle, why does that make me a terrorist??

Coming from a rightwing site, the list is not all inclusive by implying that only rightwing ideologies and groups are under attack.

In fact the left is pretty much ignored. There should have been as many leftist ideologies included in the list as there were rightwing ideologies.

For example: “freedom of speech zones”, “Monsanto protesters”, “OWS protesters”, “antiwar protesters”, “American Muslims”, “solar power advocates”, “anti-nuke protesters”, “animal rights advocates”,  “freedom of information defenders”,  “big oil conspiracy  theorist”….just to name a few.

So the question becomes not who is ON the list, but who in America is NOT on the list.

Both the right and the left are under attack here, and only the “sheeple” are secure in their snug little know-nothing worlds.

I would think Star.. that for the purposes of those in power.. being left or right makes no difference, in fact that's about the only "non-issue" there is. Instead think of the wording as set up such that anyone can be considered a terrorist.  :D

But I agree... to be sure wall street protestors certainly are on some list.
