Title: Installed a Jardine muffler and..no backfiring? Post by Jeff Jopling on 08/28/13 at 21:02:42 Ok so I bought a Jardine off a user here and installed it this past saturday. Let me first say I live in northeast Louisiana and I am 75 ft above sea level. I also used the stock exhaust, then I drilled it (better sound but more backfiring when turning off). Ok so I installed the Jardine expecting to need to at a minimum pull the plug so I could adjust the fuel/air mix on the carb and maximum do a rejet in the carb. Well I've ridden the bike probably 100 miles around town (top speed I went was 50mph) and I have experienced zero backfiring. From everything I have read this just doesn't make any sense. Can anybody give me any insight on what could possibly be the reason for this because I simple don't understand why the backfiring is suddenly gone. |
