Title: If started in gear?
Post by bobbed on 08/27/13 at 17:00:35

I am putting together a list of the things I noticed to be wrong with my bike before I go through it...One of the things was I noticed that if I try to start the bike in gear with my clutch engaged I still can feel activation in the trans. On this particular bike how would adjust the either cable or rod to make sure that it completely disengages?

All clutches are a little sticky when cold.
Don't start in gear.

Happens cold and warm...... do I extend the length of rod movement with shortening the cable or say screw it and just not worry bout it.....Trans shifts fine no grindage or slip when scoootin round? just don't know much about the savage and if I build it I want it right

sounds like what i consider normal: if i start in gear, i can feel it pulling some, but not so hard i can't hold it still with my feet
