If you've been wearing crocs for a while, you may or may not have had one of the little plastic rivets snap or break; it's a pretty common problem. I've got 2 pairs of crocs with missing rivets. You USED to be able to buy new rivets from the crocs website, but now they don't offer them anymore. So I had to look for a work around...

Basically if you have now or ever do lose/break a plastic snap rivet, here is how to get a FREE replacement. ITW-Fastex makes the perfect sized plastic rivets, and offers up to 15 free ones of every type as a sample. Here is the website:

The two part numbers I ordered were 236-220603-10-0101 and 236-220604-00-0101. They fit like a glove, but the plastic is the same color as a milk carton. You also won't get that nifty crocodile graphic on the side. ::)

I'm trying to think of what I could use them for...

How do you keep an endangered species on your feet anyway? ::)

Can't wear rubber based shoes, even muck boots. My body chemistry destroys them (and plastic lenses in eyeglasses) pretty quickly.

I started out as a hater, too. When I was in Iraq and had to walk long distances across loose rocks and sand to get to the showers, I was sent a pair of DARK BROWN crocs. They made great shower shoes, and they kept out all of the rocks and such.

When I came home, I bought a pair of DARK BROWN Yukon Sports. http://www.crocs.com/crocs-yukon-sport/10931,default,pd.html?cid=22Z&cgid=men-footwear-clogs I wear them around the house and out at the lake fishing. Easy to clean off the mud, and they float in the water in case I lose them.

To each their own, I s'pose. I ain't lookin' for yer APPROVAL; just thought I'd share a freebie. :P

I'd use them if I could, but... no sense throwing away money on shoes my feet will destroy inside of a week.

Mine aren't the so called crock's. I wear the
rubber ones that don't have the holes in them.
Their great to wear outside to work in and no
worry if they get wet. Their comfy yet be careful
if you wear them indoors and hit a wet spot on the
floor. Ouch as I found out the hard way..
Oh and no rivets to replace as no strap on mine. :) kim
