Just watching Rick Steve's Europe.. "Viva Espanana"...

Reality check...
We may still be the leading world economy... but, those dollars are in far fewer pockets...

and germans are known for being frugal...

so by the inference...

while we ride the bus, and the rich germans are hailing a taxi... the rich Americans are in the limo...
