Title: Anyone have more info on this Bike? Post by njrmahoney on 08/12/13 at 16:23:58 I came across this photo and am wondering if anyone has more info about it. I love the look. Looks like a simple thing to do. |

Looks can be deceiving... :-?... Fitting a different tank,.. fabricating mid-sets,... lacing up a larger rear rim,.. extending the rear frame... fitting custom fenders... relocating speedo,... If these things are easy,... you are builder... |

Post by Serowbot on 08/12/13 at 18:26:06 Then, start with a new rear fender... or find an old one you like, off a 60's or 70's bike,... and fab it too fit... I built my bike one step at a time... sometimes 1 step forward and 2 steps back... This a great bike to play with... ;)... |

Post by ToesNose on 08/13/13 at 02:56:51 That pic is what inspired me to purchase a GT550 tank which I'm going to hammer knee dents into and have powder coated "chrome" which looks more like a polished aluminum. Over the coming winter I'm sure I'll be busy with the tank, a larger rear wheel, lowering the front end, fenders, seat and such in hopes of ending up with a Café/Standard kinda like CommanderChaos' Dad's ride. ::) |
