The thing I do love about this site is the mods that are tossed around. My bike sports a few of them, the deep well socket risers being the favorite. So now due to a busted belt that recently Happened I would like to hear some about the conversion to chain. I have read some posts but what I really need to know is how hard is it?
What advantages/dis advantages?
Can I still run my belt guard (I think its pretty)?
Is is a direct bolt up or do mods have to be made?
Any help or intel would be appreciated. ;)

There is a complete, start to finish, sprockets, shims, absolutely every detail is covered n the tech section. Barry Hutchinson pioneered it & another guy did it at the same time,

Chains require constant lubing and maintenance and only last 10-15,000 miles. Chains are messy and dirty up the rear end of your bike.

A used belt can be had from one of the Ryca converting people (or bought from Ryca as they convert a bunch themselves) for not so very much dollars.

I bought me a chain conversion set up, then never put it on for three years and then I sold it for cheap as the practically immortal belt is jest fine by me.

Really how much do the Ryca folks sell used belts for and how do I get a hold of the? Just looking at my options
