I had a Yhama SX650 (1971) with that same front brake set up ... Best Brake of the day ! Loved that bike , till the alternator rotor burned up . Yhama had some nutty thing going about brush type altnators. I had three (3) Yhama motorcycle suffer from the same thing the first two had DC generators with armature bars , then the SX came out with a flat surface rotor and a real alternator , I though "Hot Dog , they finally got smart", Till I ran it one time with a low battery ! >:(
