Title: Kinda neat....... Post by raydawg on 08/04/13 at 08:05:36 It sure looks like it has a time stamp attached to it, yes? http://seattle.craigslist.org/sno/mcy/3962720529.html |
Title: Re: Kinda neat....... Post by WD on 08/04/13 at 08:19:27 Very nice looking, but badly overpriced. You can buy a clean used 1500 Drifter for less than that. |

Title: Re: Kinda neat....... Post by MMRanch on 08/04/13 at 19:17:53 Raydawg I went to investigate one of these befor I bought a S-40 to replace my worn-out Savage. They are geared to top-out in the mid 80's ... or so the dealer said -(He was ridding one as his personal ride). The one the dealer was ridding looked good and had all the good stuff I would put on one. Well , the rear sprocket is made into the hub , so when it wears out you just put a new hub on. The hub stayes on the bike when you take the rear tire off (as in easy flat tire repair). But all this means "You can't put a different size rear sprocket on it ! :( So ... That takes us to the front sprocket only two sizes are avalible either a 16 or a 17 tooth , the dealer allready had the 17 tooth on his and said , "That's why it tops out in the 80's instead of the high 70's . :( :'( If I could have geared it to top-out near 100 (as in cruse at 75) I might have tried to make a deal with him for one of them. I replace the Savage with a 07 S-40 . |
