Title: 95 Ninja 250 for $800 Post by Steve H on 08/02/13 at 17:22:42 Needs an ignition switch. Key has been lost. Guy claims it runs great. I've heard they are great little bikes. Thoughts? Ideas? |
Title: Re: 95 Ninja 250 for $800 Post by justin_o_guy2 on 08/02/13 at 23:07:42 Tewll him youll put the switch in & get it running OR, step that way & IF you decide you dont like the trouble/expense, youll walk away,, IF you buy it & take it home, thats what youll have to do anyway,, He should pay for the parts if you decide to not buy it. Make Absolutely certain you have the price & arrangement in writing, signed AND witnessed by a disinterested 3rd party.Their signature & name & contact info goes ON the paper,. Sure would suck to put a few hours & dollars in it, get it goin & he decide its worth $18,00.00 |

Title: Re: 95 Ninja 250 for $800 Post by Midnightrider on 08/07/13 at 20:41:05 I have a 2009 model. Great little bike, about the same HP and performance of the Savage but she's got more top end. I bough a kit to raise my handlebars and I can ride her all day. Thought about getting one of the new 300's but the little 250 does everything I want it to do, handles like its on rails and gets 60-70 miles per gallon, depending how I twist the throttle. The tires will go 8 to 10,000 miles and that's the biggest expense owning a motorcycle. |
Title: Re: 95 Ninja 250 for $800 Post by old_rider on 08/07/13 at 23:15:49 Year ago I bought a 2011 kawi 250 ninja for the wife.... LOL, I almost kept it for me! Fun little bike, and when I got on that forum to learn about how to keep it running good and the aftermarket parts for it I heard about the ninja 300, fuel injected , water cooled very little maintenance and still gets the 60-70mpg's. The wife decided she didn't want a sport bike, and I had already purchased a 300 so we sold the 250 for what we bought it for to a young gal I worked with. If you can get one cheap, go for it! the are fun little machines. |
