Title: Motorcycle Insurance

They have 12 month packages for only $173? Does that sound right? I did a progressive quote and that's what I got.

More coverage (and better quality) now is less hassles later!! If you can swing any sort of medical then do it.

Geico on my C50 is $182 a year, liability, comprehensive, collision, and 24/7 roadside assistance and towing. If I remember right, the same package on the S40 was about $147.

Good hunting

Man that's high... in WA, full coverage from Progressive was $86 for the year. 1998 Savage. Riding since 1987.

Here in TN, liability only is the same price, and that was for a 1500 Drifter...

What we don't need no insurance.

I was commuting in King County, I needed insurance. Seattle drivers make Los Angeles drivers look like sissies... But Seattle drivers can't hold a candle to the poor quality of drivers down here, watched a cop in his unmarked roll through a stop sign today w/o slowing down. And turn signals, drivers licenses, insurance, etc seem to be optional in west TN, as does staying in your own lane. And the speed limit signs are considered the recommended safe MINIMUM speed...  >:(

I've got full coverage on mine with a $250 collision and $500 comprehensive deductible and it's $164 per year through State Farm.  This is in SW OH.  I drop the collision/comprehensive and it's around 80.

Here in the midwest I'm paying right around $200/year (no collision).  And we have 3 months+ / year where they really don't expect people to be riding (I do and a very small group of others are still on the road).  Not with Progressive (I'll not name the company).  Sad to say, my wife (on her first solo ride) did run into a parked car. They took care of the damage to the other car, I didn't have to lift a finger. Plus there was a $1000 medical piece they paid right out.  So I say, insurance is a good thing!
