Title: Belt Maintenance Post by ylwf3vr on 07/31/13 at 20:16:40 Saw this on the daily tip section - any regular maintenance needed for the belt? When I had the chains I lubed it regularly and cleaned it once in a while. I tried searching but no luck (?) |

Title: Re: Belt Maintenance Post by WD on 07/31/13 at 23:18:07 Belt maintenance? Set the tension properly (finger method, check the tech board) and wash it occasionally if the brown it turns bothers you. Other than that, ride it until it snaps. On the old forum, the first belt failure was at over 70K miles of daily use... |

Title: Re: Belt Maintenance Post by everettdale on 08/05/13 at 12:32:14 I just busted my drive belt. What scares me is that the belt didnt look worn at all. Just broke at the base of a tooth. I fear though it may have been the orininal belt. Thinking of chain conversion now >:( |
