Title: Antique Bikes on Main today
Post by Steve H on 07/28/13 at 16:25:32

Had a very nice outing with my son today.  We went to antique bikes on main in Chesnee, SC.  Official tally was around 12,000 bikes in attendance today in a town with a population of probably 1500.

These are the nice folks that hosted it all.

It was a very nice trip. We both had a great time.  It was nice to see so many bikers in one place.  There were free amusement park type rides for the kids, several vendors selling items and food, a swap meet.

Some of the bikes on show lined up down the street.

The most expensive bike there.  They said it's worth around $140,000.

He's only just turned 11.  He's tall enough but nowhere near strong enough.

We got him a small dirt bike...soon as the new  sprocket comes in, he'll be riding something more his size.

I was 11 when I started... 60cc 2-stroke, 4spd with a clutch...
It was small, but it had the basics of a real bike...

... a 650 would have killed me dead... :-?...
