Yea,, my answer was gonna be
Who says it dont?
But, Im thinking the ? is, does the part what hits the road slam into the fender when it hits a bump,, cant really tell.
Close fit fenders need mounted to the swingarm, but, even then, that would have almost no room,, you can see the bolt thats eatin that tire
between the peg & top of the shock. Looks like the shock stroke is severely limited. As is the life/safety level of that tire, I wouldnt be on it,

Simple really, drill a hole in the shock chamber body and down it comes. Quick weld bead of the piston rod to the shock chamber and you have a strut that looks like a shock, since struts are illegal in some locations.  ::)

It's hell on tires though unless you replace every retainer bolt with a button head version. And the lowest profile, narrowest tire you can find. For that application, I'd guess a 110 or 120 width car donut spare would be sufficient, odds are, anything over 35-40 mph hurts. A lot...

Some mods, I just can't can't get into...  :-/...

I like the expressions... slammed, and dropped...
I might add,... collapsed, and broken...  ;D...

Wouldn't ride it on a bet... :-?...

The things we do for looks.

The last thing I want is a modification that reduces the safety factor of an inherently dangerous vehicle, especially when riding on the street with cars all around attempting to kill me.

Same thing for visibility.  Some of the lights I see on some bikes look cool, but if I'm out in traffic, I want BIG turn signals, a BIG tail light and a BIG brake light.

I was just curious to see some real low savages that weren't rigid/hardtail.

kinda like:

only, you know, savages. or at the very least, singles. just like looking at bike porn and was curious about this. also, just noticed that the chop cult forum has a couple threads with a BUNCH of pages of pics. will be making my way through them!

Nicky:

You seem to enjoy riding your bike....sometimes double.

Be careful that you don't get into making changes that make your bike a pain to ride....double or single.  The stock shocks are pretty marginal and if your reallyl enjoy riding....you should look at raising the back up an inch or two rather than lowering it.

Dave, yea I hear you. I will probably not be doing anything major like this to my bike. I just enjoy the look of the real low and skinny choppers and was curious if anyone had done anything like that to our bikes. Like I said just like me some motorcycle porn lol.

Form follows Function, theres a reason hammers dont look like a coffee cup.

Dangitt Rowboat! I dont forgot my word again!

Pragmatic! All RITE it came to me,
Make changes while keeping function in mind. If you want a piece of art to sit & admire, build one.. but if you want to ride & be comfortable & safe, dont put one down so low you can drop the rear wheel in a pothole & bang the frame, or high center on a speed bump in a parking lot. There are some here that Ill bet I dont have 1/2" on & Im small, shocks on firm & a taller rear tire than stock,,

Yea,, I have another word I like that often escapes me,, Its when something happens, accidentally, that leads to a really positive result, like when that guy dripped rubber on the stove & discovered vulcanisation..

Kinda sounds like a girls name,,
