The bad news... that's an old story... 09'...
The bikes were to be on the Buell Blast engine... and Buell folded...
They did look pretty neat...

Singles are not making a comeback. They never went away. The only place singles are fairly unusual is in larger displacement engines. Look at the millions of MoPeds, small scooters, bikes under about 150 cc, and see how many multis you find.

I like the look.. thought they were neat bikes...

I test rode a Blast, and thought the engine was quite peppy... but, it vibrated a lot...

Actually I bet that there are more singles then any other configuration produced every year, in most countries under 500cc is prevalent. It's mainly here in the US and Europe that we feel the NEED for bigger ;D
