Title: Bike just keeps getting worse Post by keith on 07/13/13 at 20:30:55 So yesterday the clutch release cam broke, no big deal was going to replace the tensioner and reseal the head cover anyway.  So as I'm taking the top apart, it seemed every other thing I took off was rigged together or broken.  Broke bolt in the head, stripped bolts, missing bolts.  More and more it looks like the bike has been completely neglected.  I like the bike but not sure if I want to go through all the repairs.  Definitely need to pull the head off and tap out all the bolts and put helicoils in.  So frustrated.

The filter access is blocked by the front header pipe... that's why I'm so fond of Kawasaki Vulcans, they take the same spin on oil filter as a Ford Probe, Fram 7317 or equivalent. 800/900/1500/1600 for sure all take the same filter, can't recall on the 500/700/750/2000.
