Title: Re: wiring diagrams Post by Dave on 07/15/13 at 03:23:20 The 2004 wiring harness should be the same as nothing new has been added - however the wire colors may have changed. THe 2004 schematic works on my 2007 pretty well. One clue that helped me a lot is that when a wire is a solid color it has not yet passed through any kind of switch......but when it passes through a switch it has a white stripe added to the wire. As an example a black wiire indicates it is a ground.....but a black wire with a white stripe is a ground that has passed through a switch. For my bike the color yellow was the high beam headlight, white was low beam headlight, black was ground, orange was a power supply, brown was the running lights, mint was the right turn signal. One exception was the left turn signal which had a black wire. |
