Title: Bobber seat
Post by savagebob on 07/11/13 at 15:01:00

Next job on SavageBob is mounting the solo seat.

I was going to do the spring seat.. but now looking into it, it kind of looks like the seat ends up sitting too high which in my opinion ruins the lines of the bike.

Since I've still got springs in the swing arm. I probably don't need the sprung seat and could mount it directly to the frame.

There doesn't appear to be a lot of room for anything in between these options. i.e. mounting springs whilst keeping the seat low on the frame AND allowing for room for the rear guard movement.

Can I get some opinions on this?  :D Chur

Recovered my stock pan.

Bobber seat, no springs...http://i1277.photobucket.com/albums/y490/mphsgal/LISA-HP/Photos/Savage/CameraDump112310023_zps3b3e5f38.jpg... looks like crap...http://i1277.photobucket.com/albums/y490/mphsgal/LISA-HP/Photos/Savage/CameraDump112310020_zps7a204465.jpg

Went back to the recovered stock pan, sits well, hides the under seat uglies...http://i1277.photobucket.com/albums/y490/mphsgal/LISA-HP/Photos/Savage/pokeydone1_zps4f01ca6c.jpg

And of course, have since gone back to a 2 up seat, passenger pegs, the giant sissy bar... have a 7 or 8 year old grandniece who is fascinated with the bike. And a riding buddy's grandkids seem to like it as well, so, needs to be 2 up ready. He can't haul 2 rug rats on a 1400 Intruder.

Hotrodbobber also had a springer style seat sans springs, I like the way his turned out.
