Just wondering which one would be the best route to go. Is one more comfortable than the other?

I had both. I was more comfortable over long distances on the Corbin however, the cost of an Air Hawk II is about a quarter of the Corbin. Please note the Corbin will push you forward about an inch.

The Corbin sold with the bike but I still have the Air Hawk II. $50 including shipping if you want to give it a try.

I've tried both for short rides... and found that I didn't like the firmness or forward push of the Corbin... and, the AirHawk made my butt feel squirrley on the seat...
I have a faux sheepskin cover with a lite foam backing (homemade)... and a 2" front seat lift... Works for me...

I just purchased a real sheepskin cover for mine. I also have about a 1.5" lift on the seat. I haven't decided how much additional comfort the cover makes but I do know that I don't arrive with a sweaty butt any more! Plus, it does lift me a little (as in not much) further from the pegs which makes my knees more comfortable. I considered getting a Corbin but am glad I read that it moves me forward. That is a real deal breaker for me. I am still gonna try a Sportster seat and see how that works.

Thats a lot to think about I have a 2" lift on the seat and a gel pad,still butt goes numb and gets sore. I dont think Id like the corbin extra 1" forward or the airhawk squirrley feeling.

You must be careful not to over inflate an airhawk. but you will get some movement. I'm quite happy with mine.

I've never had a Corbin seat on any of my bikes, I have had gel, and an
Air-hawk. The Air-hawk was comfy but I wouldn't get another one.
For my Savage I bought an Alaska sheepskin butt pad for $50, it works
great for up to 100 miles, then it's time for a break.

On my trip up to North Carolina and back (540 miles one way) I used a gel pad my wife had purchased in walmart for her car. It was kinda trapazoidal in shape (lopsided square) and hung over a little on the sides, but it made a TON of difference in my comfort for my butt. I'm going to look around at some of the different department superstores and see what they all have in the auto sections, her pad only cost her about $15.
