Post by Scottwerty on 06/29/13 at 08:32:58

yep, 5/8" = 16 mm

max recommended 19mm

3 mm to go, about 3000 miles.

Verslagen, How many mm's out do I have to be before I can use the second hole in your cam adjuster?

Don't know exactly.
I don't like seeing the plunger fully compressed.
would rather bottom out in the slot then push it in all the way.

Just a quick Thankyou to verslagen
tensioner arrived last week, well packaged etc, very happy,
put it on today with 1 or 2 hiccups, mainly the circlip holding the tensioner body ( i didnt have a spare) so re-used, and put the clutch cover back on, only to realise, my clutch arm thing (bit the cable nipple attachs into) was pointing down and not up, so had to remove casing slightly and re-do.... balls.
tensioner bottomed out on the 1st hole so is now on the 2nd, glad i ordered when i did, still a bit loud so the valves are next.
Again big thankyou to verslagen!!!!

You shoulda asked when you hit that snag.

Cresent wrench grabs the chrome lever, moves it far enough to flip the clip without any disassembly, takes 3.2 seconds to do it.

;)    Verslagen's trick, btw ....
