Title: Saddle bag Post by keith on 06/27/13 at 22:24:24 I just bought my first bike ever a 97 Savage, so far I love it. I am trying to find a decent set of saddle bags and brackets that do not require me to relocate my tail lamps. Any help would be very appreciated. |
Title: Re: Saddle bag Post by mpescatori on 06/28/13 at 01:14:15 I fitted a pair of BROWN Leather saddlebags I bought from Leatherup.com http://images.leatherup.com/imagesproc/115469_H_SH355_MW400.jpg Xelement 2921-BR Slanted Brown Motorcycle Saddlebags, they rate at about $110. Mine were smaller than advertised, so the liners I had manufactured locally while waiting for delivery proved absolutely useless ! :P They're advertised as "waterproof leather", they're actually made of leather panels glued (then stitched) onto a plastic shell. Still, they look nice and get the job done. AND Brown leather ages in style, whereas black leather simply looks "old and scuffy" ;) |
Title: Re: Saddle bag Post by attiii on 07/11/13 at 12:03:42 Hi I am looking for good saddlebags for my 2000 savage (green/white). What is the mounting procedure like with these? Do I need a custom bracket, or do they come with a standard braket to mount? Are they big enough to hold a laptop case? Thanks! |
