Title: Re: next coupla months Post by Dave on 06/25/13 at 06:31:10 Ouch! That is one thing that I am trying very hard to avoid......and also the Carpal Tunnel surgery. Both of them seem pretty common on men that are active....and both take a long time to heal. I hope the recovery goes well.....and you got some good drugs! |

Title: Re: next coupla months Post by arteacher on 06/25/13 at 15:15:57 I feel for ya- same thing was done to me when I was in my early 20's. When conditions were right it would ache like heck from time to time for years, then all of a sudden, it stopped. :-? |
Title: Re: next coupla months Post by LANCER on 06/25/13 at 17:28:01 Praying for your speedy and good recovery. Take care of yourself and don't hurt it again before it's ready to resume normal activity. Questions: My wife may need the surgery and is wondering about the expected recovery time; pain after surgery; is there any immediate pain relief; how was the pain before the surgery; do you think the surgery was worth it...or do you need more time to evaluate that ? |

Title: Re: next coupla months Post by apache snow on 06/26/13 at 08:48:41 I tore mine pretty bad back in the late 80s. I though I was tough back then and didn't go to the doctor. It go well in around 9 months. I have fill range of motion with no pain. The only thing is if I throw something really hard it hurts some. I wish I had gone to the doctor but oh well. :-? |

I've had two in the past four years. One from not staying on the bike and the other from yard work (proves yard work is bad for you). The main thing is to do what you're told, after the first couple of days you don't feel so bad and are tempted to over do things. Do the excercises they give you and get into physical therapy. I have full use now, no problems, though I was advised not to do military presses if/when lifting weights other than myself.. |
