i recently got my first savage. im trying to make it a bobber. i have an air filter directly on the carburator is there any harm in taking the airbox out ive tried and the thing dosent wanna come out. any tips or suggestions would help thanks..

and i also am wonder the best place to relocate the rectifier too??

No problem with takin that box out.. just doin it is a pain. Theres some bolts that're hard to get to. JUst hafta get down & hunt. ONce you get everything loose you can find, wiggle it. See what wont move & hunt down the bolts.

You may not want it out.  I saw someone here who used the box to relocate all the electronics as well as squeezing in a lithium battery.  Made the bike look very clean without the battery box..
