Title: Seat comfort
Post by paulorlo on 06/10/13 at 13:00:49

Well after implanting a 3/8 inch thick gel pad and covering it with a 1/8 inch foam before putting the original seat cover back on, I decided to take the thumper for a 60mile round trip ride to Lake George. To keep up with traffic I was driving at between 65-75mph. It was like sitting on a TENS unit at that speed. (transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulater) after awhile my cheeks were numb. The foot begs were vibrating so well that if it was not for wearing sneakers and the pegs being made of rubber, my feet would have fallen off the pegs.

Sorry to hear that Paulorlo, I'm not a big fan of the stock seat for longer rides but I've never had any issues with extreme vibration cruising at 60-70 Mph for trips of that length.  Have you recently checked your bolts/motor mounts to make sure that everything is snugged up? They do tend to wiggle loose over time and might be causing you extra vibration at highway speeds  ;)
