I had a Vroom motor as a kid. We also used the cards......and when we really wanted noise we used balloons.

They got me a Vroom when I was about 10. Ugly, stupid, embarrassing thing. It musta took me almost 2 months to wreck it enough so I could justify takin that thing off.
Being ( well,, dangitt! One of the type I am,, ) the guy who likes stuff that works & doesnt need a lotta fluff, I saw the Vroom as something that limited the bike. I used it for going places & jumping & riding dirt trails up & down hills made when they dredged the bayou. We had a mile or 2 of hills about 8 to 10 feet tall, cows walked them, so they didnt get so grown up we couldnt ride them. Anyway, I saw the Vroom as a silly & embarrassing thing AND it was in my way. Its death was fine with me,,
Of course I did cards a few times. I cant remember balloons, so, prolly didnt,,
This? I can see how itll sell. What I dont see is kids on bicycles much any more. Theres a road close by, speed limit 25 MPH with signs all about how "We love our kids, drive carefully".
In the 7 years Ive been up & down that road I have yet to see anyone under age 40. Never seen a baseball game or football game in a yard, never seen a bicycle or basketball. Maybe someone can figure out how to make chowing down on a burger make an exciting sound,,

JOG.....I have to agree with you. I work for several small cities and I spend a lot of time walking the streets, measuring them, preparing specs for repair, inspecting the repairs, etc. I started doing this in 1985 and I used to see kids all summer playing outside and riding their bikes. Anymore I seldom see any children outdoors. On one street I would see one young boy on his bike all the time.....but he was the only one and was always riding alone.
