Looked at up close it is junk! Apparently the owner paid $4000.00 NZ for it.
I paid $3800.00 NZ for this for my wife.

Oh yea you spotted a crappity bobber. When we do that here in the states I think we call it tuesday. Or wednesday, or thursday, friday, saturday sunday or monday - yes it only happens on those days.

When I see those on craigslist - sometimes I call them and talk to them for hours about how I want it so bad, and ask on and on about what parts they changed - if they have the original and how hard is it to change back etc etc.
Then finally when they say oh you should just get a stock savage - I go, oooo that' a savage ? who makes it ? OK Let me see on CL. Oh, look there is one here for 1200.

And dont laugh, I've bought those parts off them for nothing on my xs650 couple years ago.

Cool.
Srinath.

Yeah, its an 06. Got it off a woman in the South Island and it cost $450.00 to get it shipped up by Bike Tranz. Which still put it at least a grand below what was being asked for others on trademe. I think she just had no idea what it was worth. As soon as we saw it we hit buy now and got it. It had 15,000km on it. Put a Verslavy and new cam chain in as soon as we got it. Adjuster was out at 19+mm.

If you don't mind me asking, what was the cost of the Verslavy and postage in $NZ?

I'll never understand, stripping a bike down to nuthin' but leaving those clunky chrome head covers on...

It's like having sex with yer' socks on...
Okay,... it's not really like having sex with your socks on...
... but, it's like... something... :-/...

I guess I'm beside the point... :-?...

I really don't think the guy who did this had any sort of idea what he should have been doing.

As for your other point- the socks keep your feet worm if the blankets slip off......  :P
