Title: need help with carb Post by bigdawg on 05/11/13 at 20:12:39 I just bought a 98 savage for the wife and carb is leaking fuel out of every place even out the slide pun hole. I have checked the float and the neidle valve but can't figure it out. Thanks |

+1 Either the float is stuck open (try tapping the side of the float bowl with a screw driver) Or the needle and seat are worn. There is a carb repair kit available K&L part# 18-5064 that contains the float needle and seat, float bowl gasket and o-rings for $12 shipped on ebay. Super easy to put in once the carb is off the bike. Can even be done with the carb on the bike. |
