Any benefit of a VM style carb? I have a mikuni cv stock carb atm.

I am not sure what you want to gain by installing a carb that is nearly half the size of the stock carb?

The replacement carb of choice is a VM36 - but only if you are doing other things like exhaust, cam, air cleaner to take advantage of the permformance gains the round slide carb can provide over the Constant Velocity (CV) carb.

Sorry I posted incorrectly Ill fix it. I dont know why I put vm22, I think it was because I was looking at jetsizes. I meant vm style.

So if I am doing a dyna muffler and KandN filter would it be a good move performance wise?

It will help, but the carb is capable of much more when combined with other efficient & performance enhancing mod's as Dave mentioned above.

LANCER I have a VM38 round slide carb on the marketplace right now.  I have never looked into the change to a VM.  What is the performance difference between the 38 and the 36?

Also wondering if I should keep this carb and put it on my bike.  I have a Jardine muffler and a Cone K&N filter on now.  Will I get more performance (top or bottom or mid range)....less gas mileage?

I also have a performance cam I got with this parts bike.....I have been meaning to send you a PM with pictures and such to let me know if it looks like it is in good shape etc?
