Post by old_rider on 05/03/13 at 09:39:38

I get this at work, so I don't pm much when I'm there.

I think it's apart of the security software, or IE.

Allow it if you want it to go thru.

then check your out box.

I'm getting the same thing, and seems to be the same results...no outgoing PM's. :(

I was getting that too.....I was chastised for not replying to a mod even, when in fact I was. My son fixed it by doing something to the software/program that was at/on my computer.....had nothing to do with the site itself. I'll ask him this even what he did and post it if you like. darn kids can fix these things in seconds, me, I yank out more hair, which I cam ill afford  >:(

I believe you are talking about compatibility mode.
somewhere at the top, there's a little icon that looks like a torn sheet of paper.

I didn't receive any reply...  It must be some browser setting or function of your computer...

Hopefuly,.. we'll get a response from a more computer savvy member...

If we do... may I request that he/she write up an instructional How-To fix for this, and post it in the Forum Upgrade Issues Section?...
It seems to be an issue for quite a few members...- Serow

I believe I got mine fixed. I un-installed explorer 9. The computer automatically went back to explorer 8 which I like better any way. I down loaded an explorer 9 blocker from Microsoft to keep 9 from automatically re installing.

I sent out a test PM to serowbot and it shows in my out box so maybe it works now. It does work now as he just PMed me back. :)

To get rid of explorer 9 go into control panel, click programs then click view installed updates under programs and features then find explorer 9 and un-install it.

I didn't see explorer 9 right away so I hit the internet help button. Its the blue one with the question mark in it. Click on about internet explorer and it will give you the # of the latest update. heck I un-installed about 15 of them before I found the actual explorer 9 install. Took a while. I'm so computer illiterate  ;)

I will remove 9 and try to reply to the pm's

LOL, couldn't find it in install/remove section, so I guess i'll be emailing folks...

Its not in the un install section, its in the view installed updates. It took me awhile but I did remove it. If you don't down load the explorer 9 blocker the computer will install it again at night using the automatic update function.
