Title: Fender Swap??
Post by Jonathan on 04/29/13 at 14:08:42

Anyone know of any rear fenders that would can be swapped out with little to no pain? for example, the Bobtail rear fender off a Harley Softtail? Or maybe some other ideas for a cool rear fender swap.

Easily? Nothing. Drop your stock fender and look at the stepped front mount.

With a bit of work and some shade tree engineering? I run a 1970s Shovelhead FLH rear fender on my 1998 Savage, with an OLD Jammer's 7" base mount to side mount headlight conversion bracket.

If you want a Dyna type bobtail fender, look at Dynas and Rebels. Dyna is a better match than Softail or VN800A and Viragos, exposed shocks to exposed shocks, versus hidden shock donor to exposed shock recipient. Cut out for the belt guard is closer to correct on the Dyna type.
