Title: petcock again?
Post by mtlsir on 04/27/13 at 15:01:58

I'm pretty much a noob when its come to mechanics...

I've done the prime and cap ''mod'' because yesterday my bike kept dying at all stop when i got to neutral, if i kept the throttle twisted a bit he won't die. and the idle sound weird

1-so if i got this right, by blocking the vaccum line and the vaccum pin from the carb, i get an manual petcock, i must put it to prime to run and on if i park the bike?

2- if it die again on idle, my petcock is ok?
so it's mayby a dirty carb, bad working float ok slide?

thanks guys
by the way i have a 98 savage and the mixture screw is uncapped, i don't know if it an important detail.

Frank

If you have it capped and running on Prime,... and the problem persists...
It is not the petcock...

Then,.. you need to start looking elsewhere...
Let us know,... and helpers will advise... ;)...
