Title: Headlight doesn't work, turns on with pass switch Post by ezornes239 on 04/27/13 at 13:50:40 So I noticed my headlight was out yesterday. Got a new bulb, nothing. Then I noticed it flicked on when I held down the pass switch that flicks it to high beam real quick. The whole switch assembly is a little corroded, but the horn and pass switch still work. But the regular high to low switch gives nothing, and my turn signals haven't worked in a while. I'm wondering if its from the switch and not from a connection I made when I changed them. I'm thinking about jumpering the wires that go to the pass light to get it working until something else can be done, I have no other way to get around. I should also mention that my clutch safety switch went recently, and I've got it jumpered with a paper clip in the clip. The bike sits outside all the time, and it's starting to show... Any ideas? Anyone know where I can order a whole new pod/switch assembly? Is that what I need to do? Any help would be great. |
Title: Re: Headlight doesn't work, turns on with pass swi Post by Dave on 04/27/13 at 14:02:46 Well if the headlight bulb is good, and the orange wire is feeding electricity up to the handlebar control....it sounds like your switch assembly is dying. I have a handlebar switch from a 2007 that I am cutting the plug off to use......you are welcome to all the other parts if you pay shipping. What year is your bike? |

It's an 07 as well. I ended up jumping the orange and red wires that run to the pass switch so it stays on high until I can get it fixed. |
