Title: running bad after high speed
Post by hotrodbobber on 04/26/13 at 10:09:44

Hi people, having a problem with the old bobber,, changed the carb for another std carb because i could not get the old one apart, rejetted with 152.5/52 and done spacer trick on needle, raptor petcock, new fuel lines and paper fuel filter BUT after a run around town she runs fine, get on the motorway and open her up she runs well untill you back off and come off the motorway then she runs bad back firing wont idle well have to blip throttle to keep her running,,,,ive had the carb apart again cleaned out and back on only to do the same thing, i thought at first it was dirt/rust in the fuel but after the paper filter nothing seems to get to the carb ?????
ANY IDEAS ANYBODY ??? >:(

Mine used to die when Id drop the throttle off too quick. Mite not now, with the Raptor on it, dunno, havent ridden it,, Anyway, make sure the idle is high enough. Thats all I had to do to fix mine.
